Head and Neck Cancer Therapy
Addressing the Urgency
Head and neck cancer treatment is extremely challenging because we rely so heavily on this area of the body to perform basic tasks such as speaking and eating. Patients often report swelling in the face and neck, speech and swallow issues, reduced shoulder and neck motion, gait and balance challenges, and lymphedema in the face and neck. There is an added sense of urgency to address these limitations because they control critical bodily functions and are on public display at all times.
Experienced Physical and Occupational Therapist can help manage pain, answer questions, improve your motion, and help you regain your ability and confidence to speak and swallow. In coordination with your physicians, we educate you on the dos and don’ts, so you can progress through treatment more easily, and with less hesitation.
