Programs for Patients
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
In this four-week series, practice a unique combination of somatic movements to support kinesthetic awareness to feel interoception (the state of your body on the inside) and proprioception (a sense of where your body is in space). We will begin with slow, gentle, and rhythmic movements in a supine position on the mat to support the conditioning of the joints and muscles. We will move to weight-bearing postures to support strength and return to the mat for closing restorative posture. Each session will integrate pranayama (breathing practices) and guided meditation to help elicit the relaxation response and ease you into the rest of your day.
