Somatic Movement with Yoga

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

In this six-week series, practice a unique combination of gentle movements to support kinesthetic awareness to feel interoception (the state of you body on the inside) and proprioception (a sense of where your body is in space). We will begin with slow, gentle and rhythmic movements in supine position on the mat to support conditioning of the joints and muscles, move to a few standing postures to support strength and return to the mat for closing restorative posture. Each session will integrate pranayama (breathing practices) and guided meditation to help elicit the relaxation response and ease you into the rest of your day.
