Lymphedema Therapy

Early Detection and Treatment

Lymphedema is a common side effect of cancer treatment. Radiation and surgery stresses the lymphatic system, regardless of the number of lymph nodes removed.  Patients will notice swelling, most frequently in the arms or legs, but also in the breast, chest, head and neck and genitals. Swelling can occur in areas closest to where lymph nodes were operated on or radiated. We understand Lymphedema can be difficult to understand and manage. Early detection and treatment from Certified Lymphedema Therapists can help dispel common myths to help manage your risk, and dramatically improve outcomes, including reduction or elimination of swelling.
