Breast Cancer Treatment Side Effects

Please join us for a complimentary 1-hour webinar to learn about the most common side effects from breast cancer treatment and how to manage them.

DESCRIPTION:

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Stephanie will be hosting a 1-hour workshop for patients who have recently had breast cancer surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation and for patients who will be undergoing treatment in the near future.

Patients often suffer from increased pain and reduced mobility following breast cancer treatment.  They also have many questions about what to expect, activities to embrace or avoid, precautions to take and additional treatment options. With over 20 years of experience in oncology rehabilitation, Stephanie can answer your questions and help prepare you for your recovery journey.  The session will cover the following topics:

  • Breast and Scar pain - What it is, why it happens, is it normal?  How can therapy help?

  • Axillary Wed Syndrome – More commonly known at cording.  Who is most at risk?  How can therapy help?

  • Reduced Range of Motion – Guarding your arm after surgery is normal, however, therapy can help with proper movement and stretches to reduce risks of a painful arm and shoulder.

  • Lymphedema – Learn the risks and signs and symptoms of lymphedema.  Early diagnosis is key!
