Because They Care…
I have been battling lymphedema in my lower right leg for over 30 years following two bouts with cancer and a subsequent reconstructive surgery on my right leg. I’ve visited several surgeons, wound care care specialists, and podiatrists over the years in an effort to help get the swelling in my leg and foot down, but couldn’t get the results I wanted. One (of the many) doctors I visited recommended that I reach out to the team at SDK Therapy, which I am grateful for. My primary therapist was Melody, and she and the team built a game plan that was uniquely designed for me and came up with solutions that successfully reduced the swelling in my leg.
The team at SDK Therapy is incredibly knowledgeable and talented, but what sets them apart is they really care about their clients. As I was receiving treatment with Melody, she would go above and beyond lymphatic massage and compression treatment. She also proactively worked on finding unique solutions to other complex ailments I was dealing with by reaching out to a network of doctors and specialists to help find ways to accelerate my recovery. On top of that, she proactively reached out to vendors that were slow to respond on fulfilling my orders for compression garments. I realized very quickly that I was not only working with a great staff but I also got the benefit of working with a team that advocated for me because they care.
I could not be more grateful for the help I received from Melody, Grace and Stephanie. They are special people and as someone who has dealt with serious medical issues most of my life, they have my highest recommendation.
